Smart Work Ethics

Creating a point of reference for today’s Work Ethic

Reinforcements

The reinforcements encourage participants to work for a future goal (a gift/gas card that they can earn—Included in our Participant Packages) and to join in class exercises and discussions.  Participation and ownership are keys to behavioral change.  Our method of delivery is based on psychology, education, Generation Y, working with at risk youth, and our background as trainers in business and industry. Behavioral psychology has proven that reinforcements are effective ways to change behavior.  The use of reinforcements separates us from traditional training programs.

The rewards/reinforcements are designed to stimulate interest and participation.  The rewards/reinforcements are to be given with an attitude of fun and excitement.  These reinforcements show participants that this is a different type of learning environment.  The purpose of Smart Work Ethics training is to change behavior, not to simply give information.  Trainers are encouraged to use reinforcements whenever the class needs stimulation, refocusing, or to enhance participation.  The following cue in the Facilitator Manual suggests when to give the rewards/reinforcements;

Do not let this limit you.  You are given extra rewards/reinforcements and you are encouraged to use them at your discretion.  These come packaged as extras so you can pace these throughout the seven classes.
