Smart Work Ethics

Creating a point of reference for today’s Work Ethic

The Smart Supervisors

Creating an environment that brings success to the workplace is often circumvented by work-loads, misunderstandings, time mis-management, and underdeveloped leadership skills.  A study published by the Carnegie institute of Technology reports that 15% of financial and career success is due to technical competence and 85% is due to interpersonal skills.

The Smart Solutions Group, a company dedicated to bringing success to the workplace, is an affordable opportunity to create a powerful blueprint for productivity and success.  By delivering timely information and hands on activities the participants are provided with tools to learn specific skills, address current problems, create growth and cohesiveness and gain the tools to continue putting into practice the ideas presented and explored.

Program Description

Workplace turnover is costly and affects productivity.  Often there is a disconnect between supervisors and employees.  Supervisors don’t understand why employees don’t just do their job and employees become defensive, or they just leave.  How does a company improve this situation?

Based on Workplace Essentials, a program developed by the Workforce Development Program at Boise State University, SmartWorkEthics.com has expanded the program to include Supervisors.  Supervisors will recognize that supervising an employee is more than just telling them what to do.  Understanding how to address current problems, motivate workers, reduce turnover, and bring the unit to a new level of accomplishment will provide the supervisor with new skills that address today’s workplace, including Generation Y.
