Smart Work Ethics is a comprehensive curriculum focusing on workforce employability skills, many times referred to as soft skills or essential skills. From making a good first impression to knowing what interpersonal skills are required, Smart Work Ethics participants become aware of what employers look for, look at, and measure when they hire and promote employees. The program is designed to not just deliver information, but to change behavior through informational presentations, group discussions, and experiential activities. The curriculum focuses on communication skills and strategies, attitude, work ethic, image and appearance, interpersonal skills, teamwork, cognitive skills, taking initiative, time management, accountability, and conflict resolution.
Employee responsibility is often the missing vital link in the working arena. Smart Work Ethics presents the “need to know” essentials for today’s workplace, regardless of where that workplace is. Based on research in Emotional Intelligence, Neuro-Linguistic Programming, standard business and industry workplace requirements, and youth and adult education, the curriculum presents the universal standards for thriving in a work environment in an interactive and participatory format.
